DO YOU OWN A BUSINESS IN TOWN?

If you have a corporation and file with the Secretary of State,
this does NOT apply to you.

If you are a Sole Proprietor and doing business under an assumed name, State law requires a one-time registration for $10.  You can fill it out and have it notarized at City Hall.  The purpose is to enable the public and consumers to know with whom they are dealing or the true identity of the person behind the business.
